King's Wharf occupies a strategic position on the western tip of Bermuda in Sandys Parish, serving as the island's premier cruise gateway. The port features two modern terminals, King's Wharf and Heritage Wharf, situated side by side within a sprawling six-acre waterfront complex equipped with dedicated visitor information centers. Functioning both as an essential turnaround port and a popular port of call, the facility welcomes international cruise liners right alongside a deeply historic maritime setting.
The heart of the visitor experience centers on the Royal Naval Dockyard, which historically served as the principal British naval base in the Western Atlantic from the era of American independence through the Cold War. Following its military closure in 1957, the sprawling stone complex underwent an extensive revitalization beginning in the 1980s, transforming former naval storehouses into vibrant artisan shops, dining venues, and the iconic clock tower mall. Today, this vibrant cultural hub houses the National Museum of Bermuda, Dolphin Quest, and scenic pedestrian walkways.
Beyond the dockyard, Bermuda's natural beauty unfolds across a subtropical archipelago of more than one hundred islets and cays surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise waters and barrier reefs.
