MS Rotterdam is a Pinnacle-class cruise ship operated by Holland America Line, and serves as Holland America Line's flagship. She entered service in October 2021 and carries 2,668 passengers, making her a large ship. Originally named Ryndam during her initial development, she was renamed Rotterdam in July 2020 during construction to honor the historical legacy of the name, following six previous distinguished vessels in the fleet that bore the same title.

The ship was thoughtfully designed around exceptional culinary experiences and refined dining options. World-renowned Chef Morimoto's specialty dining concept highlights fresh fish, sushi, and artful Pan-Asian creations, alongside a diverse array of eleven distinct dining venues across the vessel. Beyond the dining rooms, the main theater hosts daily expert lectures and presentations, as well as a signature evening concert based on the popular "Frozen Planet" series, featuring a spectacular multimedia backdrop accompanied by live orchestral musicians.

Entertainment spans dedicated live music venues throughout the Music Walk, dynamic theatrical shows, and multiple swimming pools, including a midship pool protected by a retractable glass roof. Younger guests can participate in engaging youth club programs featuring environmental workshops, film production activities, and interactive wildlife presentations. Sports and wellness enthusiasts can enjoy an ocean-view pickleball court, traditional casino games, mahjong tournaments, and full-service wellness facilities at the Greenhouse Spa and Salon, which offers thermal suites, hydrotherapy pools, and signature body treatments.

Accommodations range from comfortable interior staterooms to expansive luxury suites. Notably, twenty-two Vista Suites feature updated sofa beds, providing convenient quad-occupancy choices for families or small groups traveling together. For relaxation, guests can unwind around serene pool decks, including the adults-only Sea View Pool located at the stern.

The vessel suits couples, families, and seasoned travelers seeking a modern flagship experience complete with fine dining and classic enrichment. Been on a cruise aboard MS Rotterdam? Add it to your profile on The Cruise Globe so it's added to your stats and Passport.
