MS Nieuw Amsterdam

MS Nieuw Amsterdam is a Signature-class cruise ship sailing for Holland America Line. She was completed in 2010 and christened by Princess Maxima of the Netherlands in Venice on 4 July 2010. The ship is classified as mid-size and features exclusive Signature-class amenities. She is the fourth ship to bear the name Nieuw Amsterdam in Holland America's history. Named and themed after New York City, historically called "Nieuw Amsterdam".

In the ship's atrium sits a sculpture of the inverted NYC skyline, created from translucent blocks. The three-deck-high atrium serves as an open midship area with a stage for live music and a hanging glass sculpture.
