Vision of the Seas is a Vision-class cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International and the last of her class. She entered service in 1998 and carries around 2,000 guests, placing her among the mid-sized ships. Unlike other Royal Caribbean classes, the Vision class is not named for the first ship built. Vision of the Seas was the last ship in the class to be built. Vision-class ships were designed to have more glass windows than any other ships at the time they debuted, providing expansive ocean views from interior spaces.
The vessel offers a balanced mix of dining and entertainment options that appeal to families and couples alike. Speciality dining choices include the intimate Chef's Table, Chops Grille steakhouse, Izumi for Pan-Asian flavors, and Giovanni's Table for classic Italian dishes. Casual options like Park Cafe provide quick bites, while the main dining room offers traditional multi-course service. Nightly entertainment features full-scale production shows, live music, dance parties, and games across various lounges.
Guests looking to stay active can take advantage of onboard recreation facilities, including a signature forty-foot rock climbing wall mounted high above the ocean. Across her twelve decks, the vessel features eight pools and whirlpools for sea days. The adults-only Solarium offers a serene retreat complete with its own covered pool, whirlpools, dedicated bar, and comfortable loungers away from the main pool deck.
Accommodations encompass 1,018 staterooms, ranging from budget-conscious interior cabins to oceanview rooms and spacious multi-room suites with private balconies. Eight distinct bars and lounges provide plenty of options for evening drinks and social gatherings.
The ship suits those looking for a traditional mid-sized vessel packed with classic features, quality dining, and relaxed spaces. Been on a cruise aboard Vision of the Seas? Add it to your profile on The Cruise Globe so it's added to your stats and Passport.
