Allure of the Seas is a large cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International, entering service in 2010 and hosting around 6,300 guests. Life on board revolves around distinct neighborhood areas, cheerful atmosphere, and plenty of activity choices. An interesting bit of trivia is that she was formally christened by Princess Fiona, the animated character from the movie Shrek.

Days at sea offer something for every mood, with plenty of places to relax, grab a drink, or enjoy a great meal. The ship features 17 bars, including the tropical Pesky Parrot for tiki cocktails and the unique Rising Tide Bar, which slowly ascends and descends across three decks while you sip a glass of wine or a signature drink. Dining options range from hand-rolled sushi and teppanyaki at Izumi Hibachi & Sushi to rustic Italian pasta dishes and hand-tossed pizzas at Giovanni's Table. Multiple main dining rooms and casual eateries mean you will never run out of options during your time on board.

Action and entertainment are everywhere across the decks. Thrill-seekers can brave the Ultimate Abyss dry slide, race down the Perfect Storm waterslides, or test their balance on the FlowRider surf simulator, which pumps thousands of gallons of rushing water. A 40-foot rock climbing wall rewards climbers with sweeping ocean views from the top. For evening entertainment, guests can catch full productions in the main theater, enjoy live comedy, or watch talented skaters perform inside the ice-skating rink.

When you want to slow down, the adults-only Solarium provides a peaceful retreat complete with comfortable loungers, quiet whirlpools, and open ocean views. Families traveling with young children can head over to Splashaway Bay, where interactive water cannons, fountains, and splash pools keep kids happily entertained throughout the day. Accommodations suit every style of traveler, ranging from cozy interior staterooms to expansive suites featuring private oceanfront balconies.

Allure of the Seas suits families, couples, and groups who want a full-featured ship where the overall time on board is just as exciting as the ports visited along the way.
