Ovation of the Seas is a Quantum class cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean that entered service in 2016. Built by Meyer Werft in Germany, she accommodates around 4,200 guests, placing her in the large ship category. As the third ship in the Quantum class, alongside Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas, she combines modern technology with thoughtfully designed spaces that create a relaxed and contemporary atmosphere.
The ship is known for several signature attractions that have become hallmarks of the Quantum class. North Star, a glass observation capsule, gently rises high above the ship to provide sweeping panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding coastline. Guests can also try RipCord by iFly, an indoor skydiving simulator that offers the sensation of freefall in a controlled environment. Another popular feature is the Bionic Bar, where robotic bartenders prepare cocktails ordered through a digital menu, adding a fun and memorable twist to an evening out.
One of the ship's most distinctive venues is Two70, a multi deck space with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the sea. During the day it is a peaceful lounge filled with natural light, while in the evening it transforms into an entertainment venue with digital projections, live performances and music. Throughout the ship, more than 11,000 contemporary artworks are displayed in public spaces, giving corridors, lounges and gathering areas a stylish and gallery inspired feel.
Dining includes a broad selection of complimentary and speciality restaurants, offering everything from casual buffets to Italian and teppanyaki cuisine. Suite guests have access to the exclusive Coastal Kitchen, while accommodation across the ship includes spacious staterooms with many featuring private balconies. Four swimming pools, including one beneath a retractable roof, allow guests to enjoy the water whatever the weather.
Ovation of the Seas is well suited to families, couples and active travellers looking for a modern cruise ship with plenty of choice. From innovative attractions and varied dining to contemporary entertainment and comfortable accommodation, she offers a holiday that balances excitement with relaxing spaces to enjoy the journey at sea.
