Norwegian Epic is a cruise ship operated by Norwegian Cruise Line that entered service in 2010. Built at the STX Europe Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint Nazaire, France, she accommodates around 4,100 guests, making her a large cruise ship. When she debuted, she was one of the largest cruise ships in the world and remains distinctive within the fleet as a one of a kind design with no sister ships.
From the beginning, Norwegian Epic was created with variety and entertainment at the heart of the onboard experience. She was the first Norwegian Cruise Line ship to introduce The Haven, an exclusive area offering luxury suites, private lounges, a dedicated restaurant, a secluded sun deck and personalised butler and concierge service. Throughout the rest of the ship, guests will find a lively atmosphere with a wide choice of places to relax, socialise and enjoy the sea.
Dining is one of the ship's biggest strengths, with restaurants serving a broad selection of international cuisines alongside casual eateries and speciality venues. Bars are equally varied, from the well known Ice Bar, kept at below freezing temperatures, to Shaker's Martini and Champagne Bar and Maltings Beer and Whiskey Bar. Guests looking for quieter surroundings can spend time in the Mandara Spa, the Thermal Suite or the adults only Vibe Beach Club and Spice H2O.
Entertainment is a major highlight on Norwegian Epic. The ship became the first at sea to host performances by Blue Man Group, while productions such as Burn the Floor and live music at Howl at the Moon have also been popular features over the years. Active guests can enjoy attractions including the climbing wall, bowling alley and the Epic Plunge, a distinctive tube and bowl water slide that remains one of the ship's signature attractions.
Accommodation ranges from comfortable inside staterooms to balcony cabins, spacious suites and dedicated solo cabins designed for independent travellers. Guests staying in The Haven enjoy additional privacy and exclusive facilities, while the rest of the ship offers a wide variety of options to suit different budgets and travel styles. Norwegian Epic is an excellent choice for families, groups, couples and anyone looking for a lively cruise with extensive dining, memorable entertainment and plenty of activities from morning until night.
