Norwegian Encore

Norwegian Encore is a Breakaway Plus class cruise ship operated by Norwegian Cruise Line. She entered service in November 2019 and carries around 4,000 guests in 2,043 staterooms, placing her in the large ship category. Built by Meyer Werft in Germany, she was the final ship constructed by the yard for Norwegian Cruise Line. Kelly Clarkson christened the ship in Miami in November 2019.

The ship's standout feature is her two level go kart track, positioned high above the ocean on deck 19. The Ferrari branded racetrack is longer than the track on sister ship Norwegian Joy and includes ten turns, with two sections extending over the side of the ship. Electric go karts provide the action, while a covered viewing platform gives spectators a good vantage point over the course.

Dining offers plenty of choice, with 11 complimentary venues alongside speciality restaurants. Cagney's Steakhouse provides a traditional steakhouse setting, while Q serves Texas style barbecue with brisket and ribs smoked over oak and hickory. Los Lobos brings modern Mexican cooking, while Onda by Scarpetta focuses on Italian dishes. A Starbucks and chocolate focused patisserie provide more casual options between meals.

Away from the racetrack, Encore has three swimming pools, nine outdoor whirlpool tubs and five waterslides. The Observation Lounge is one of the quieter highlights, with floor to ceiling windows providing broad views across the sea. Spice H2O offers an adults only outdoor space with hot tubs and infinity pools, while the Mandara Spa has treatment rooms, a thermal suite, sauna and salt room.

The Haven provides an exclusive ship within a ship setting with suites and private facilities. Solo travellers have dedicated accommodation too, with 82 Studio cabins and access to a private Studio Lounge. Families can make use of children's clubs and the aqua park, while the entertainment programme includes Broadway style productions such as The Choir of Man, comedy at Headliners Club and live music.

Norwegian Encore suits families, couples, solo travellers and anyone who enjoys having plenty to choose from on a large ship. The combination of active attractions, varied dining, live entertainment and quieter retreats makes it possible to create a busy day or take things considerably slower.
