Disney Wish is operated by Disney Cruise Line and is the fifth ship in the fleet and lead vessel of the Wish class. She entered service in July 2022 and carries around 3,500 guests, placing her in the large ship category. Built by Meyer Werft in Germany, she was launched in February 2022. The Wish class introduced several changes for Disney Cruise Line, including the use of liquefied natural gas as a lower emission fuel.
The ship's Grand Hall provides the main gathering space, with a fairytale setting inspired by Cinderella. A bronze statue of Cinderella stands beneath a starlit ceiling, surrounded by ornate balconies. Elsewhere, the ship brings together settings inspired by Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar, giving families plenty of themed spaces to explore. AquaMouse is one of the ship's standout attractions, combining a water ride with Disney storytelling and views of the sea along its twisting course.
Dining is closely tied to the ship's entertainment programme. Arendelle takes its inspiration from Frozen and combines dining with live entertainment and character appearances. Worlds of Marvel brings Marvel themed storytelling to the table, with dishes inspired by places from the films. Several main dining venues are complemented by speciality restaurants, cafés and more casual places to eat throughout the ship.
Entertainment includes a large theatre presenting Disney productions created for the ship, along with live music venues and cinemas. Guests can choose between family pools and areas reserved for adults, providing different ways to spend time between activities. The accommodation includes around 1,250 staterooms, with about 90 per cent offering an outside view through a balcony, ocean view or suite. Standard cabins are relatively spacious and can accommodate up to four guests.
The Wish Tower Suite occupies part of the forward funnel and offers a two storey layout with two master bedrooms, living and dining areas and broad views from the ship. It can accommodate up to eight guests and provides one of the ship's most distinctive accommodation options.
Disney Wish suits families looking for a holiday where Disney characters, storytelling, dining and entertainment are woven throughout the ship. Couples and adults travelling without children can also find dedicated spaces and activities, giving the ship a broader appeal beyond family cruising.
