Disney Dream is operated by Disney Cruise Line, is the third ship in the fleet and the lead vessel of the Dream class, and entered service in January 2011. She carries 2,500 passengers at double occupancy, with a maximum capacity of 4,000, making her a large ship. Built by Meyer Werft in Germany, she has a sister ship in Disney Fantasy. The Dream class marked a significant increase in size over Disney Cruise Line's earlier Magic class.

The interior combines Art Deco design with Disney-themed elements. She was christened by Jennifer Hudson in January 2011. At the heart of the ship is an Art Deco-style Atrium Lobby with a grand glass chandelier and a bronze statue of Donald Duck at the base of the marble staircase. Mickey Mouse appears throughout the ship in staterooms, artwork, dinnerware, and railings.

Dining follows a rotational system where guests dine at a different restaurant each evening. Main venues include Enchanted Garden serving French-inspired cuisine themed to Disney fairy tales, Royal Palace designed as a French conservatory with lighting that changes through the meal, and Animator's Palate featuring an interactive show with Crush the turtle. Adults-only speciality restaurants include Palo serving Northern Italian cuisine and Remy offering French cuisine, both located at the rear of the ship on deck twelve.

While the swimming pools are relatively small, the AquaDuck waterslide is one of the most thrilling at sea, featuring a transparent tube that spirals above the ocean. Entertainment, activities and kids' clubs are woven throughout the ship, with age-specific areas for children and teens, plus adults-only spaces for quieter relaxation.

Cabins on Disney Dream are among the largest in the cruise industry and most are designed to accommodate families of four with ample storage space, full-size bathrooms and split-bathroom layouts. Inside cabins feature innovative "Magical Portholes" while veranda cabins have balconies with two chairs and a small table.

Disney Dream works best for families with young children who want a ship built with their needs at the centre, from the onboard facilities to the food and entertainment, and who value the Disney character and themed experiences on offer. Cruisers can log the real routes their ships sailed on The Cruise Globe.
