Star of the Seas is a large Icon-class cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean. Built by Meyer Turku in Finland, she entered service in August 2025. Holding a guest capacity of roughly 5,610 at double occupancy and measuring 248,663 gross tonnage, she shares the title of largest cruise ship in the world with her sister ships. She is powered by dual-fuel engines capable of running on liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The vessel's architecture is structured around eight distinct themed neighborhoods. Key outdoor spaces include Thrill Island, featuring Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea with six record-breaking slides, and Crown's Edge, an aerial rope course suspended 154 feet above the sea. Chill Island houses seven pools, including the largest pool at sea, while Surfside provides dedicated family aquaparks like Splashaway Bay. Quiet escapes include Central Park, an outdoor open-air promenade lined with trees and restaurants, and The Hideaway, an adults-only retreat. At the interior core, the Royal Promenade serves as the main social hub, while the high-tech AquaDome houses an indoor waterfall and aquatic show space for diving and acrobatics.

Dining and nightlife encompass 25 bars and lounges, alongside a broad selection of complimentary dining halls and specialty venues. Main entertainment options range from Broadway-style theatrical productions in the main theater to high-diving and stunt shows in the AquaTheater.

Accommodations are tailored for groups and families, with around 70 percent featuring private balconies and over 80 percent built to host three or more guests. Cabin options span from interior and oceanview staterooms to multi-story Royal Loft Suites equipped with private elevators. The Suite Neighborhood grants exclusive top-deck access, private dining, and concierge service.

Star of the Seas suits families, multi-generational groups, and thrill-seekers looking for an expansive, feature-packed ship with diverse activities and high-energy entertainment. Log your past, completed, or upcoming cruise aboard Star of the Seas in your account on The Cruise Globe.
