Icon of the Seas is a large cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International and entered service on January 27, 2024, out of the Port of Miami. Built by the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, she stands as one of the largest passenger vessels in the world, carrying approximately 5,610 guests at double occupancy alongside a dedicated international crew. Legendary soccer star Lionel Messi served as her official godmother, christening the ship during a ceremony on January 23, 2024. She also marks a major environmental milestone for the cruise line as the first Royal Caribbean vessel built with multi-fuel engines capable of running on liquefied natural gas.

The ship's interior is organized around eight distinct onboard neighborhoods that give the vessel a vibrant, resort-style atmosphere. Central Park offers an open-air natural retreat filled with thousands of live plants, quiet walking paths, and upscale specialty dining. Surfside is designed from the ground up for families with young children, bringing together dedicated splash zones, kid-friendly dining venues, and interactive play spaces in one central location.

Water-based attractions dominate the action across her twenty decks. Icon of the Seas features seven individual swimming pools and Category 6, which stands as the largest waterpark at sea with six record-setting water slides. Forward on the ship sits the AquaDome, a massive glass structure that features panoramic ocean views, a soaring fifty-foot indoor waterfall, and high-diving aquatic theatrical productions. Beyond the high-energy thrill rides, guests can explore dozens of diverse restaurants, casual eateries, and cocktail lounges spread throughout the ship. Accommodations range from efficient interior staterooms to sprawling multi-level suites created for larger family groups.

Icon of the Seas suits families, adventure-seekers, and travelers looking for maximum variety, high-energy attractions, and dedicated spaces tailored for all ages. Log your cruise aboard Icon of the Seas on The Cruise Globe.
