AIDAperla is a Hyperion-Class cruise ship operated by German line AIDA Cruises. Built by Mitsubishi Shipbuilding in Nagasaki, Japan, she was delivered in May 2017 as the sister ship to AIDAprima. Carrying up to 3,286 passengers at double occupancy across 1,643 cabins, she was christened in Palma de Mallorca in June 2017 by German model and presenter Lena Gercke. The vessel features advanced environmental technology, including a friction-reducing hull design, an exhaust treatment system cutting emissions by up to 99 percent, and a high-capacity lithium-ion marine battery storage system.

Designed as an active, seagoing club resort, the ship offers a broad selection of social hubs and sports facilities. Outdoor features include the Skywalk, two glass elevators at the stern leading to a glass-floored platform 45 meters above sea level, along with three swimming pools, four infinity pools, and four whirlpools. The indoor Beach Club is enclosed beneath a UV-permeable retractable membrane dome, housing the Four Elements activity zone with two water slides, a climbing wall, and a large LED movie screen. During winter seasons, she operates a 200-square-meter onboard ice rink. A 3,100-square-meter spa area provides wellness treatments, while interactive Pepper humanoid robots assist guests in English, German, and Italian throughout public areas. Youth care spans dedicated clubs for infants, children, and teenagers.

Dining onboard spans 17 venues with a wide selection of complimentary and specialty options. Buffet choices with included beer and wine encompass Markt, East, Bella Donna, Fuego, Scharfe Ecke, and Weite Welt. Specialty options feature French Kiss, Buffalo Steakhouse, Rossini, a brauhaus, a sushi bar, a cooking studio, and Soulkitchen, a specialty venue dedicated entirely to plant-based vegan cuisine and organic beverages.

Accommodations span 21 distinct categories across 1,643 total staterooms. Options include 198 oceanview cabins, 32 luxurious suites, and 1,101 private balcony staterooms, which comprise 69 percent of all onboard accommodations.
