Bridgetown is the capital and largest city of Barbados, and the port sits on the southwestern coast of the island along Carlisle Bay. Serving as a major turnaround port for southern Caribbean itineraries as well as a popular port of call, cruise ships dock at the Deep Water Harbour. The cruise terminal itself is exceptionally well equipped for arriving guests, featuring duty-free shops, lively open-air bars, local food vendors, and the colorful Chattel House shopping village.

Visitors can take a solar-powered tram underground through Harrison's Cave to view flowing streams, natural pools, and dramatic limestone formations. History enthusiasts can visit St. Nicholas Abbey, a preserved seventeenth-century plantation house that operates as a museum and rum distillery producing handcrafted spirits.

Local Bajan cuisine is another highlight, blending Caribbean, African, and British flavors.
