Wind Spirit is a four-masted motor sailing yacht operated by Windstar Cruises that officially entered commercial service in nineteen eighty-eight. Constructed as the second of three specialized sailing vessels in the fleet, the ship accommodates up to one hundred forty-eight passengers alongside eighty-four crew members across four passenger decks.

The vessel features an elaborate system of computer-controlled triangular sails that allow pure wind propulsion when favorable weather conditions permit cutting the primary engines. Maintaining an exceptionally high ratio of crew members to guests, the yacht offers an unscripted onboard atmosphere with open dining seating, no formal dress codes, and no mandatory daily schedules.

Culinary offerings across the vessel focus on fresh regional ingredients purchased directly by the executive chef during visits to local markets in various ports of call. The primary dining room, AmphorA, serves a five-course gourmet dinner menu that changes daily, while The Veranda provides casual buffet-style breakfast and lunch service alongside panoramic ocean views.

In the evening, The Veranda transforms into Candles, an alfresco specialty restaurant serving prime steaks and grilled seafood under the open stars. A retractable marina platform positioned at the stern gives passengers direct access to water skiing, windsurfing, sea kayaking, paddleboarding, wakeboarding, and snorkeling in calm coastal bays.

Guests can participate in complimentary market tours guided by the culinary team or visit the navigational bridge at any hour under an established open bridge policy. Accommodations on board consist of seventy-four oceanview staterooms measuring one hundred eighty-eight square feet, featuring round porthole windows, convertible beds, and full bathrooms equipped with bathtub facilities.

Stateroom amenities include premium Egyptian cotton linens, L'Occitane bath products, stocked minibars, daily replenished fresh fruit, and round-the-clock room service. Focusing on low guest density and active water-based recreation, the vessel caters to travelers seeking an intimate yachting experience with personalized service across global waters.
