Star Seeker is the first purpose built new ship in Windstar Cruises' Star Class, carrying 224 guests. Built at WestSEA in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, she entered service in 2026, marking Windstar's first ever new construction and a significant expansion for a luxury operator long known for intimate small ship voyages.
The ship centres firmly on all suite accommodation. Her 112 suites are mostly fitted with private verandas or floor to ceiling infinity windows, complemented by expansive open decks throughout. Seventy two suites feature large verandas and thirty have infinity windows that slide halfway down to let in the sea breeze, while two Horizon Owner's Suites at the aft boast wraparound balconies suited to private dining.
Dining and drink are built into the voyage itself. Star Seeker offers five dining venues, all included in the fare. The main restaurant, Amphora, features rotating selections from James Beard Foundation affiliated guest chefs, with alfresco dining available at Amphora and the Star Grill, alongside a specialty restaurant and twenty four hour room service.
For wellbeing and play, the ship features a full service spa and a revamped Watersports Platform offering direct access to the sea. An outdoor heated saltwater pool sits on the sun deck, with a separate shallow area for children, while wellness facilities include an outdoor jogging track, a small gym, sauna, spa, and hairdresser. Complimentary shoreside activities include camping, sea kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, and Zodiac boat tours.
Star Seeker also carries an ice strengthened hull built for polar regions, opening up access to remote parts of Alaska and Asia. With a staff to guest ratio of one crew member for every two guests, she cultivates the kind of intimate, personalised service Windstar is known for.
Star Seeker suits discerning travellers who value all-inclusive dining, suites with private outdoor space, and access to smaller ports and remote waters that larger ships simply cannot reach.
