Viking Orion is a cruise ship operated by Viking Ocean Cruises, delivered in June 2018. She carries 930 guests, making her a small cruise ship. Built by Fincantieri at its Ancona yard in Italy, she is the fifth vessel in a series of identical ships designed around Viking's small ship travel, all-inclusive concept, blending excursion-inclusive experiences with affordable luxury.

The ship was christened by NASA astronaut Anna Fisher and named after Orion the Hunter, a constellation, a theme that carries through to one of her most distinctive features. Viking Orion is only the world's second cruise ship, after Cunard's Queen Mary 2, to carry an onboard planetarium. Named the Explorers' Dome, this circular, theatre-style venue with 26 seats sits forward on Deck 8 and uses advanced projection technology to display constellations and other space-related content across its domed ceiling. The onboard astronomer also runs outdoor stargazing sessions for guests.

Like her sister ships, Viking Orion offers an intimate, boutique hotel style atmosphere, with signature Scandinavian-inspired decor, luxury fabrics, spacious lounges with elegant leather furnishings, gourmet cuisine and a curated art collection. Across 465 total cabins, staterooms include 47 suites, 32 penthouse cabins and 386 veranda cabins, and every cabin features a private veranda along with modern amenities such as heated en-suite bathrooms, premium bath products and complimentary satellite phones.

Dining venues include the main Restaurant, buffet options, the Aquavit Terrace for alfresco dining, and specialty restaurants such as an Italian grill and Chef's Table. The aft infinity pool stands out as a signature complimentary facility, alongside a second pool, a covered pool deck, the Viking Living Room atrium, two cinemas, a spa and fitness centre, and the Wintergarden poolside relaxation area. As with all Viking Ocean ships, guests enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, shore excursions, beer and wine with lunch and dinner, and access to the Nordic Spa's signature Snow Grotto, where fine snow falls from the ceiling.

Viking Orion offers destination-focused cruising, with fewer sea days, extended port stays and more overnight calls in key destinations. She suits couples, small groups and travellers who value an intimate setting paired with destination immersion and thoughtful design.
