MSC Seaside is a Seaside-class cruise ship operated by MSC Cruises. She was delivered in November 2017 and carries around 5,100 guests, placing her in the large ship category. As the lead vessel of the Seaside class, she lends her name to the company's Seaside class. She was built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, with Asya Aponte, granddaughter of MSC's founder, performing honors at the delivery ceremony.
The ship's design centers around outdoor living, featuring a wide boardwalk promenade that lines both sides and an expansive aft promenade deck housing a large pool. MSC Seaside offers generous open-air spaces, including a ropes course, a five-slide water park, three glass-floored catwalks, and a sea-level Promenade Deck lined with shops, bars, and restaurants. MSC Seaside was christened on 21 December 2017 by Sophia Loren at PortMiami, marking her as the first MSC cruise ship christened in North America.
Dining spans nine distinct restaurants, including five specialty venues. An onboard Venchi chocolate bar offers gelato, coffee, and confections crafted fresh in an open kitchen. Guests seeking elevated luxury can access the MSC Yacht Club for exclusive amenities while retaining access to the ship's full entertainment lineup. For wellness, the MSC Aurea Spa provides a traditional Balinese spa experience with a thermal area, beauty salon, and nail boutique.
Onboard entertainment includes a multi-story aqua park featuring five water slides—highlighted by two clear-loop racing slides extending over the ship's edge and a 367-foot slide with music and lights—alongside an AquaPlay area for young children. A high-tech theater hosts full-scale production shows, while dedicated youth centers are designed in partnership with LEGO and Chicco. Accommodations range from comfortable standard rooms to luxury suites with private whirlpool baths and connected family layouts.
MSC Seaside is best for families, groups, and guests seeking a large, vibrant ship with expansive outdoor spaces and water-focused recreation. Track and log your trip on MSC Seaside using The Cruise Globe.
