MSC Bellissima is a large Meraviglia-class cruise ship operated by MSC Cruises. Constructed by Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France, she entered service in March 2019 after being officially named in Southampton by legendary actress Sophia Loren. Bearing a name that translates to "beautiful" in Italian, she carries up to 4,500 passengers alongside her sister ship, MSC Meraviglia. At the center of her design sits a two-deck, Mediterranean-style indoor promenade crowned by a soaring 80-meter LED dome that serves as a vibrant social hub.
The vessel showcases innovative technology throughout her public decks and staterooms. MSC Bellissima debuted ZOE, a pioneering virtual voice assistant developed alongside Harman International. In addition, an integrated Samsung NFC system allows guests to unlock cabin doors, locate family members, and manage onboard purchases using smart bracelets, phones, or cruise cards. Entertainment options include the Carousel Lounge, which hosts two high-caliber production shows daily: SWEET, a vibrant journey through candy-themed worlds, and MYÜT, an acrobatic spectacle. For relaxation, the MSC Aurea Spa offers signature Balinese treatments, a thermal area, a beauty salon, and a nail boutique.
Culinary offerings span 12 international dining venues and 20 distinct bars. Specialty options feature French classic cuisine at L'Atelier Bistrot and Spanish tapas at HOLA Tapas Bar, created by two-Michelin-starred chef Ramón Freixa. Dessert lovers can visit the dedicated Chocolaterie and Chocolate Bar, designed by famed pastry chef Jean-Philippe Maury.
Staterooms total 2,244 cabins, with roughly 75 percent offering private step-out verandas. Accommodations range from cozy interior spaces to multi-room family cluster cabins that connect adjacent staterooms. A standout highlight is the world's first Crystal Cabin, a luxury balcony suite adorned with 700,000 Swarovski crystals.
Whether you are vacationing as a family, sailing as a couple, or taking your very first cruise, MSC Bellissima delivers a refined large-ship experience. Its blend of high-end design, diverse culinary options, and versatile spaces caters equally well to high-energy activities and quiet relaxation.
