Carnival Dream is a cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. She entered service in September 2009 and carries around 3,600 guests, placing her in the large ship category. Built by Fincantieri at its Monfalcone shipyard in northern Italy, she was floated out in October 2008 and christened by actress Marcia Gay Harden. She is the lead ship of the Dream class, which also includes Carnival Magic and Carnival Breeze, while Costa Diadema is a related sister ship.

Carnival Dream introduced several features that became familiar across later Carnival ships. She was the first in the fleet to include a water park with multiple slides, while an 18 hole miniature golf course provides another activity for families and groups. The outdoor promenade stretches for more than half a mile around the ship, with an outdoor café and whirlpool Jacuzzis along the way. It is an easy place to take a walk, find a seat and enjoy some time outside.

Dining includes two main restaurants alongside speciality venues, including a steakhouse and sushi bar. Casual choices add variety, with Guy's Burger Joint offering burgers created in collaboration with chef Guy Fieri and a seafood focused restaurant providing another option. The Dream Atrium rises 11 decks through the middle of the ship, with a piano bar and dance floor creating a social setting for evenings.

Entertainment is centred around the 1,400 seat Encore! Theater, where guests can watch Playlist Productions and Hasbro Game Shows. The Cloud 9 Spa provides a quieter alternative, while the ship's wider range of public spaces gives guests plenty of opportunities to choose between activity and relaxation.

Accommodation includes inside cabins, oceanview rooms, balcony staterooms and suites. Some larger outside cabins can sleep up to five guests, making them useful for families travelling together. The range of cabin types also gives couples and solo travellers several options when choosing where to stay.

Carnival Dream suits families and couples who enjoy a lively ship with plenty of activities, dining choices and entertainment. At the same time, the promenade, spa and quieter public areas give guests places to slow down when they want a break from the action.
