Ruby Princess is a Grand class cruise ship operated by Princess Cruises. She entered service in 2008 after being built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri and was the ninth and final ship in the Grand class series. She carries around 3,080 guests, placing her in the large ship category. Trista and Ryan Sutter, television personalities from The Bachelorette, served as her godparents at the christening.

The three deck Piazza forms the social heart of the ship, with the International Café providing coffee, pastries and light snacks nearby. The Sanctuary offers an adults only retreat with a quieter atmosphere, while nearly 900 staterooms have private balconies, giving many guests their own outdoor space. Movies Under the Stars adds another familiar Princess feature, with films shown on the large screen beside the pool.

Dining is spread across a wide selection of venues. Three main dining rooms provide traditional restaurant meals, while Crown Grill specialises in steaks and seafood. Vines combines wine and sushi, and Horizon Court and Café Caribe provide buffet dining. For something more casual, guests can pick up pizza at Prego, visit the Salty Dog gastropub or stop at the ice cream bar. The range makes it easy to keep meals informal or choose somewhere more suited to a special evening.

Entertainment centres on the Princess Theater, which hosts stage productions and other performances. Additional lounges and nightclubs provide music and evening entertainment, while the casino offers another option after dinner. During the day, guests can visit the Lotus Spa and Fitness Center, take part in activities or relax in quieter areas. Children and teenagers have dedicated centres of their own.

Ruby Princess also offers the Ultimate Ship Tour, giving guests an unusual behind the scenes look at parts of the ship that are normally off limits. The tour can include areas such as the Navigation Bridge, photo lab and engine control room, providing an insight into how the ship operates.

Accommodation ranges from inside cabins to larger suites, with the extensive balcony selection being one of the more appealing features for guests who enjoy private outdoor space.

Ruby Princess suits families, couples and first time cruisers looking for a large ship with a familiar Princess Cruises atmosphere. Her broad dining selection, varied entertainment and quieter retreats make it easy to settle into a comfortable rhythm on board.
