Carnival Pride is a Spirit class cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. Built in Helsinki, Finland, she entered service in December 2001 and carries around 2,100 guests, placing her in the mid sized category. With twelve passenger decks and a broad choice of places to eat, relax and spend time together, she has a friendly atmosphere that works well for families and groups of friends.
Carnival Pride has a varied selection of dining venues. Bonsai Sushi provides a quieter setting for Japanese dishes, while the Normandie Restaurant has an art deco inspired style. Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse offers a more substantial meal, while Guy Fieri's burger venue and BlueIguana Cantina provide more casual choices. Bars, lounges and open deck areas give the ship plenty of places to meet for a drink or spend time between meals.
Water features are an important part of the ship. Serenity provides an adults only pool area, while the midship pool has a retractable roof. Carnival WaterWorks adds a water park for guests looking for something more active. The Cloud 9 Spa offers a quieter alternative when it is time to slow down.
Evenings can include shows at Playlist Productions or dancing at Beauties Dance Club. The Carnival Seaside Theater provides big screen entertainment, while the Seuss at Sea programme adds a family focused option. Younger guests have their own spaces too, with Camp Ocean, Circle C and Club O2 catering to different age groups.
Accommodation ranges from inside cabins to outside and balcony rooms, along with suites for guests wanting more space. Carnival Pride was christened by astronaut Tamara Jernigan in Port Canaveral in 2002.
Carnival Pride suits families, groups of friends and first time cruisers who want plenty to do without having to navigate an enormous ship. Its combination of casual dining, pools, family facilities and evening entertainment gives everyone room to find their own way to spend a day at sea.
