Silver Ray is the second of two ultra-luxury Nova Class vessels built by Meyer Werft in Germany, entering service in 2024. She carries 728 guests and weighs 54,700 gross tonnes, which makes her a small ship. She is Silversea's 13th vessel, built as part of the cruise line's move towards more sustainable ultra-luxury cruising.

The ship's defining feature is her asymmetrical layout, a first for Silversea. Both Nova Class vessels incorporate an innovative asymmetrical design with public spaces and suites spanning the entire length, designed to offer guests unprecedented openness to the destination. The outward-facing asymmetrical layout introduces several new venues for the brand, with 18 onboard venues including 10 bars and lounges and 8 restaurants. Light and views dominate the interior. Six panoramic glass elevators interconnect all decks, and extensive use of glass in public spaces and suites offers uninterrupted panoramic views.

Every suite has a private balcony. All 363 staterooms have step-out balconies and are larger than the luxury cruise industry's standard. Cabin sizes range from 33 square metres to 123 square metres (360 to 1,325 square feet). New suite categories for Silversea include Otium and Signature suites, with Otium being the ship's largest suites.

Dining spans eight restaurants. Venues include Atlantide, La Terrazza, La Dame, SALT Kitchen, SALT Lab, Kaiseki, and The Shelter. The specialty restaurant La Dame, with 70 seats, requires advance reservations. The ship's approach to food and drink is all-inclusive, as with all Silversea ships. Fares include beverages including selected wines, gratuities, travel insurance, port charges, and one or more shore excursions per voyage.

Public spaces favour calm and outdoor time. The main swimming pool on Deck 10 is the largest in the Silversea fleet at 130 square metres, with wider steps, a larger shallow-water area with underwater seating, and a spacious sundeck across Decks 10 to 11 with premium loungers and shaded seating. An infinity-edge whirlpool on Deck 11 overlooks the port side. The Marquee, an alfresco dining venue with 220 seats, serves casual food throughout the day and dinner in the evening.

Silver Ray features the highest space-to-passenger ratio in the Silversea fleet, approximately 75 square metres per guest, which is notably generous. The crew-to-passenger ratio stands at about 1 to 1.3, meaning attentive service throughout.

Silver Ray suits discerning travellers who value intimate luxury, spacious cabins, and a sophisticated atmosphere over size and bustle.
