Silver Endeavour is an ultra-luxury expedition cruise ship operated by Silversea Cruises that entered commercial service in two thousand twenty-one after being constructed by MV Werften in Stralsund, Germany. Built to Polar Class Six specifications as the world's largest ice-class expedition yacht, the vessel accommodates up to two hundred passengers across one hundred all-suite staterooms.
The vessel was formally christened in Antarctica in November two thousand twenty-two by polar explorer Felicity Aston inside the scenic Lemaire Channel. Taking its namesake from Captain James Cook's research vessel, the ship was designed specifically to conduct immersive scientific exploration across Arctic and Antarctic regions.
Onboard facilities feature a full-service wellness complex with a spa, a beauty salon, a modern fitness center, expedition mudrooms, a bow observation deck, and a glass-enclosed pool deck. Guests can utilize a stern marina platform to access water activities including sea kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and jet skiing alongside a fleet of eighteen electric amphibious Zodiacs.
Dining options across six onboard venues include the signature French restaurant La Dame, Silversea's Arts Café, and twenty-four-hour room service delivered directly to guest suites. Every stateroom on board includes a private step-out balcony, spacious marble bath amenities, and dedicated twenty-four-hour butler service for all passengers.
Guided by an expert expedition team of biologists, geologists, naturalists, and historians, sailings feature daily shore landings and educational lectures regarding polar ecology. Advanced navigation systems and specialized hull construction allow the small luxury vessel to traverse icy channels and reach remote global destinations that remain inaccessible to larger ships.
Offering among the highest space-to-passenger ratios in the expedition cruise sector, the vessel balances serious polar capability with refined personal service. Experienced travelers and first-time polar cruisers enjoy high standards of comfort alongside immersive wildlife encounters throughout every scheduled voyage.
