AIDAprima is a Hyperion-class cruise ship operated by German line AIDA Cruises. Delivered in April 2016 by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagasaki, Japan, she carries approximately 3,300 guests across 18 decks. Her construction marked a notable departure from Meyer Werft shipyards, where most of the line's fleet had been built. Christened in Hamburg by German actor Emma Schweiger, she was designed with a bow hull shape optimized for fuel efficiency and engineered to operate on clean-burning liquefied natural gas (LNG) while docked in port.

The ship's interior centers around the Theatrium, a three-deck central atrium that serves as both an open-air style plaza and a performance stage for live theater and musical shows. Top-deck activities center on the AIDA Beach Club, an indoor tropical pool area housed beneath a UV-permeable, climate-controlled transparent dome that transforms into a nighttime venue with laser light shows. Adjacent to it, the Four Elements activity zone features a lazy river, a rock-climbing wall, a sports deck, and a multi-story indoor water slide. Additional public features include glass elevators leading to the Skywalk, a glass-floored viewing platform cantilevered 45 meters above sea level at the stern, as well as an onboard ice rink operated during winter itineraries.

Dining and social venues encompass 15 distinct restaurants, including traditional self-service buffets with included beer and soft drinks, interactive specialty venues, and casual cafes. The vessel features 18 bars and lounges, including a traditional German microbrewery and the fleet's first official Starbucks outlet at sea. To assist guests with directions and event information, the ship utilizes Pepper humanoid interactive robots capable of communicating in multiple languages.

Accommodations range from comfortable interior and oceanview cabins to spacious Veranda Staterooms and luxury suites. Staterooms are styled in bright modern decor, with select categories featuring winter garden layouts or expansive private balconies equipped with personal hammocks.
