Delivered on October 25, 2014, by shipbuilder Fincantieri, she was officially christened on November 7, 2014, in Genoa, Italy, by travel agent Carolina Micelli. Named after the Italian word for "tiara," she was ordered as part of the fleet's expansion and became the largest vessel to fly the Italian flag upon her launch.
