Costa Pacifica is a large Concordia-class cruise ship operated by Italian cruise line Costa Cruises. Designed by renowned interior architect Joe Farcus, she entered service in 2009 following a historic dual-christening ceremony alongside Costa Luminosa in Genoa, Italy. Built around an immersive musical theme, the vessel features interior decor adorned with antique violins and original musical scores, while her public decks are named after distinct musical genres. Hosting around 3,000 passengers and 1,100 crew members across 1,507 total staterooms, she blends classic Mediterranean flair with lively resort-style amenities.
Public spaces seamlessly blend entertainment, wellness, and unique technological touches. As a standout feature, Costa Pacifica was the first cruise ship built with a fully equipped onboard recording studio. Guests can relax across four swimming pools—two covered by retractable glass roofs for all-weather swimming—or visit the expansive Samsara Spa complex for health and beauty treatments. Evening entertainment takes place in a multi-level mainstage theater, supported by thirteen bars and lounges throughout the ship. Additionally, mobile Pepper humanoid robots are stationed in central areas to converse in English, German, and Italian, helping guests with daily activity schedules, venue choices, and shore excursion bookings.
Culinary offerings span five distinct dining areas and multiple casual eateries. In addition to traditional formal dining rooms and buffet layouts, the ship features a dedicated pizzeria where chefs craft authentic Italian pizzas using natural yeast, San Marzano tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella produced daily right on board.
Accommodations encompass 1,507 cabins divided into 16 categories, ranging from practical interior rooms to panoramic oceanview staterooms and 70 luxury suites. Nearly 40 percent of all cabins feature private step-out balconies, providing guests with uninterrupted sea views.
Costa Pacifica suits families, couples, and music enthusiasts seeking a vibrant mid-sized ship with warm Italian hospitality and rich onboard choices. Record your past or upcoming cruise aboard Costa Pacifica in your account on The Cruise Globe.
