Celebrity Reflection is the fifth and largest ship in the Solstice class, operated by Celebrity Cruises. Launched in 2012, she carries 3,046 passengers, placing her in the mid-sized bracket. She has one more deck than her sister ships, which gives her a slightly different layout with extra space spread across the ship.
The heart of Reflection is her dining programme. Global Culinary Ambassador Chef Daniel Boulud creates exclusive dishes for premium venues, while the main restaurant Opus is built around a two-storey wine tower, and complimentary dining includes casual options like the Mast Grill, Oceanview Cafe and Spa Cafe. Specialty restaurants range widely, from Italian at Tuscan Grille to contemporary sushi at Sushi on Five, and Le Petit Chef offers dining with a twist, where a tiny animated chef prepares the meal in front of guests using 3D projection.
A signature space is The Lawn Club, a stretch of real grass where guests can catch some sun and play outdoor games, an unusual feature for a ship at sea. The Retreat is a sanctuary reserved for suite guests, with private restaurant dining and a lounge open around the clock. AquaClass passengers get access to the wellness-focused restaurant Blu, unlimited use of the Persian Garden spa area, and spa concierge services.
Accommodation covers a broad range, from suites through balcony and oceanview cabins to inside staterooms, giving guests plenty of choice depending on how they like to travel. The Reflection Suite was Celebrity Cruises' first two-bedroom suite and remains unique to this ship.
Entertainment runs from a large theatre staging full production shows to live music venues and bars scattered across the ship, plus Camp at Sea for children, with activities built around art, recreation and STEM.
One nice detail is that Reflection's godmothers were four Celebrity Cruises employees who are breast cancer survivors, a meaningful choice that speaks to the company's values.
Reflection suits families, couples and anyone after a mid-sized ship that mixes calm, refined spaces with plenty to do at sea.
