Carnival Luminosa

Carnival Luminosa is a cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. Originally built as Costa Luminosa, the ship entered service in 2009. She accommodates 2,260 passengers, placing her firmly among mid-sized ships. Her design is a hybrid, using elements of Spirit and Vista classes. A sister ship, Costa Deliziosa, was launched in February 2010 and is based on the same design. After transfer to Carnival in September 2022 and a refit, the ship sailed to Brisbane, Australia to begin voyages.

The ship has 4 restaurants, 11 lounges and bars, 3 swimming pools (one with a retractable glass roof), 4 outdoor jacuzzis, and 12 elevators. Luminosa was designed with plenty of light and air in mind. The ship was built with plenty of windows. Each deck is inspired by precious stones, from Coral to Turquoise.

Dining choices span several venues. Fan-favorite onboard features include Alchemy Bar, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse and RedFrog Rum Bar. Beyond the main restaurants, guests can find a range of casual and specialty dining throughout the ship. Entertainment is varied and lively. The ship offers Playlist Productions, Piano Bar 88 and The Punchliner Comedy Club. There is also a spa for those seeking quiet time at sea.

Cabins range from compact inside rooms with picture windows to spacious suites. The Grand Vista Suite is the biggest room on the ship, featuring an aft-facing wraparound balcony. Most outside cabins feature balconies, giving direct access to sea views and fresh air.

The vessel features a collection of 288 original artworks and 4,733 prints displayed throughout various areas of the ship.
