Navigator of the Seas is a cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International and a second generation member of the Voyager class. She entered service in 2002 and was christened by German tennis star Steffi Graf. Following an extensive refurbishment in 2019, the ship gained a wide range of new attractions and expanded public spaces, helping to establish her as one of the line's activity packed large ships with capacity for around 4,000 guests.
At the heart of the ship is the Royal Promenade, a lively indoor boulevard lined with cafés, bars and shops that serves as a popular meeting place throughout the day and evening. The refreshed pool deck offers more room for lounging, while the two level Lime and Coconut bar brings a relaxed tropical atmosphere with live music and sea views. Other additions include the Bamboo Room, Playmakers Sports Bar and Arcade, and several new places to eat and drink, giving guests plenty of choice wherever they are on board.
Dining caters to a wide range of tastes, from casual snacks to speciality restaurants. Guests can enjoy Italian favourites at Jamie's Italian and Giovanni's Table, fresh seafood at Hooked Seafood, Japanese inspired dishes at Izumi and classic steaks at Chops Grille. Accommodation ranges from comfortable inside cabins to spacious suites, with many balcony cabins available, along with Virtual Balcony rooms that provide a live outside view for selected interior accommodation.
Entertainment focuses on action and variety. The Blaster water coaster winds around the upper decks and remains one of the ship's signature attractions, while Riptide offers a fast headfirst mat slide with a transparent section extending over the side of the ship. Guests can also try the FlowRider surf simulator, tackle the rock climbing wall, take part in laser tag or enjoy the swimming pools and sports facilities. Evenings feature ice skating shows, theatre productions and live music across the ship's lounges and entertainment venues.
Navigator of the Seas is an excellent choice for families, couples and groups looking for an energetic holiday with plenty to keep everyone occupied. Her combination of exciting attractions, varied dining, comfortable accommodation and lively entertainment makes her particularly appealing to travellers who enjoy staying active while still having plenty of places to relax.
