Carnival Legend

Carnival Legend is a Spirit class cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. She entered service in 2002 after being built in Helsinki, Finland, and was christened by English actress Dame Judi Dench. With accommodation for around 2,100 guests at standard occupancy, she is a mid sized ship with a lively atmosphere and a broad mix of dining, entertainment and leisure spaces.

The center of the ship is a nine deck atrium, with shops and public areas arranged around the tall interior space. Many staterooms have ocean views, while a large proportion also have private balconies and the first ship in the Carnival fleet to introduce alternative dining options and an onboard wedding chapel, reflecting the emphasis on choice that has remained part of the ship's character.

Food and drink cover a wide range of styles. Guy's Burger Joint serves burgers and fries created with chef Guy Fieri, while BlueIguana Cantina offers made to order Mexican food and a salsa bar. The Golden Fleece Steakhouse provides a more formal dining option with steaks, seafood and wine, while Bonsai Sushi serves rolls, sashimi and bento boxes. Around the ship, bars and lounges include RedFrog Pub and RedFrog Rum Bar.

Entertainment ranges from comedy and stage shows to quieter spaces. The Punchliner Comedy Club presents both family friendly and adults only performances, while the Serenity Adult Only Retreat provides a quieter area for adults. There are four pools, including one beneath a retractable glass roof, along with a mini golf course overlooking the sea.

Families have plenty to keep younger passengers occupied, with organised activities, games and children's programming. WaterWorks adds waterslides and other water based fun, while activities such as the Cluedo murder mystery give families another way to spend time together.

Carnival Legend suits cruisers looking for a mid sized ship with plenty happening around the decks, a relaxed approach to dining and entertainment, and enough quieter spaces to take a break from the action.
