Celebrity Summit

Celebrity Summit is a Millennium class cruise ship operated by Celebrity Cruises. Built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique in France, she entered service in 2001 and carries around 2,158 passengers at double occupancy, placing her in the mid sized category. She is a sister ship to Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Infinity and Celebrity Millennium. Her original design was notable for using gas turbine propulsion, an approach that was relatively unusual among cruise ships when she entered service.

Celebrity Summit has received several major refurbishments during her time with the fleet. A Solsticized update in 2012 added new accommodation, including 60 additional cabins and 107 AquaClass staterooms. A further refurbishment through Celebrity's Revolution programme in 2019 brought updated interiors and other changes throughout the ship. The result is a combination of an established ship layout with more contemporary public areas and accommodation.

Dining includes around ten venues, ranging from casual choices to more formal meals. Qsine offers an interactive approach to dining, including the Le Petit Chef experience, while guests staying in AquaClass accommodation have access to Blu, a restaurant focused on lighter dishes. The range gives passengers plenty of choice without requiring them to follow the same dining routine every day.

The ship has three swimming pools and six outdoor Jacuzzis, along with a selection of bars and lounges spread across 12 passenger decks. The Retreat provides suite guests with an adults only outdoor area featuring a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, cabanas and poolside service. The foyer combines marble floors with an onyx staircase and panoramic glass elevators overlooking the sea. The spa includes the SEA Thermal Suite for guests looking to spend some quieter time on board.

Accommodation was updated during the ship's refurbishment, with redesigned interiors, bathrooms and eXhale bedding. AquaClass cabins provide additional wellness focused features, while suites offer more space and access to dedicated areas such as The Retreat.

Celebrity Summit suits couples and first time cruisers who prefer a mid sized ship with a mixture of speciality dining, entertainment, relaxation and quieter spaces. Her established layout makes the ship relatively easy to explore, while the range of venues gives guests plenty of ways to shape their days on board.
