Marella Voyager was built for Celebrity Cruises at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, and entered service in 1997. She carries around 1,900 guests across 952 cabins, making her a mid-sized ship. The ship has had several names in her life: she sailed as Celebrity Mercury before joining TUI Cruises, first as Mein Schiff 2 and later as Mein Schiff Herz. She began operations for Marella Cruises UK on 3 June 2023.

The ship has been designed with food and socialising at its heart. Marella Voyager offers 16 dining venues including Silver Fork (British favourites with a modern twist), The Kitchens (a theatrical food hall with eight food stations), Abuela's (Mexican), Kora La (pan-Asian), and Surf and Turf (steakhouse). In June 2025, Marella launched Piccadilly's gastropub fleetwide, offering traditional British dishes. The Broadway Show Lounge stages 11 productions per voyage, performed twice nightly.

The cabin experience balances comfort with choice. The ship has 51 suites and 376 balcony cabins across 17 categories. The largest are the Voyager Suites on Deck 10, each measuring 530 square feet with an additional 140 square feet terrace. All staterooms include two single beds convertible to a queen, smart TV with on-demand films and internet, Nespresso machine, minibar, and en-suite bathroom with bathrobes and slippers. Single cabins are available on decks 4 to 5 for solo travellers at single-occupancy rates with no supplement required.

Entertainment and relaxation venues include a theatre with a revolving stage and LED screens, art studio, fine wine shop, spa and fitness centre, two pools including one 25-metre pool, kids' club, and sports facilities. The Arts House functions both as a daytime arts and crafts space and an evening venue for live music.

Marella Voyager suits couples, families, and solo cruisers seeking a friendly, sociable ship with food, theatre and a welcoming British feel.
