Vancouver is a major cruise port on the west coast of British Columbia, where the city meets Burrard Inlet. It is Canada's busiest cruise port and serves primarily as a homeport, with many Alaska cruises beginning and ending here, although some voyages also include Vancouver as a port of call. The city's cruise facilities are located at Canada Place, right on the downtown waterfront, placing visitors within easy walking distance of many of Vancouver's best known attractions, shops and restaurants.

Canada Place is the city's dedicated cruise terminal and has welcomed millions of passengers since opening in 1986. Designed to handle turnaround operations, it offers convenient access to transport links, hotels and the city centre, making embarkation and disembarkation straightforward for cruise guests. Its distinctive white sail roof has become one of Vancouver's best recognised landmarks and is often one of the first sights passengers see as they arrive by sea.

Vancouver's setting is one of its greatest attractions. Surrounded by mountains, forests and the waters of Burrard Inlet, the city offers spectacular scenery both on arrival and while exploring ashore. Cruise ships pass beneath the Lions Gate Bridge before entering or leaving the harbour, creating one of the most memorable sail ins in North America. Waterfront Station, next to Canada Place, provides easy connections across the city, including direct rail service to Vancouver International Airport.
