Costa Toscana is a large LNG-powered Excellence-class cruise ship operated by Italian cruise line Costa Cruises. Designed under the creative direction of renowned designer Adam Tihany as a tribute to Italy's Tuscany region, she entered service in 2021 as a sister ship to Costa Smeralda. Carrying approximately 5,300 guests at double occupancy across 19 decks, she stands as one of the largest vessels in the Costa fleet. Her advanced dual-fuel propulsion system utilizes Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), significantly reducing emissions at sea.
Its interior public spaces celebrate authentic Italian craftsmanship, featuring furnishings from Molteni and Roda, lighting by Flos, and custom leather seating from Poltrona Frau. On Deck 16, the main activity hub offers a water park, waterslides, a high-ropes course, and mini-golf. Leisure amenities also include four swimming pools and nine outdoor hot tubs distributed across the top decks. Indoor venues feature a two-level main theater, a disco, and a casino. To assist travelers throughout the ship, multilingual Pepper humanoid robots are stationed in central areas to provide daily activity schedules, dining details, and shore excursion information.
Culinary choices across the ship span thirteen dining venues and nineteen bars and lounges. Italian coffee culture is integrated throughout the vessel through a partnership with historic 19th-century roaster Caffè Vergnano, which operates specialized coffee bars on board alongside a diverse mix of casual buffets and specialty restaurants.
Accommodations total over 2,600 staterooms designed by Dordoni Architetti, with interior themes reflecting various iconic Italian cities. Approximately half of all cabins feature private step-out balconies, complemented by panoramic oceanview staterooms, practical interior rooms, and luxury suites.
Costa Toscana appeals to families, couples, and travelers seeking a modern large-ship experience with rich Mediterranean style and extensive onboard choices. Record your past or upcoming cruise aboard Costa Toscana in your account on The Cruise Globe.
