MS La Belle de l'Adriatique is a 200-passenger seagoing vessel purpose-built for coastal voyages in the Mediterranean, built in 2007. She was acquired by CroisiEurope, one of Europe's largest river cruise companies, in May 2019 from SunStone Ships, joining the fleet that December after previously sailing as Silver Discoverer. With around 200 guests, she sits comfortably in the small ship category, quite distinct from the sprawling resort-style vessels that dominate much of the cruise world, and well suited to the kind of coastal cruising that draws people to quieter corners of the Mediterranean and Adriatic.
CroisiEurope offers all-inclusive deals with unlimited drinks during Europe's high season from April to October, though shore excursions carry an additional charge. The ship offers 99 oceanview staterooms across six categories, including one single occupancy cabin and one accessible cabin for passengers with reduced mobility. Most rooms feature twin beds that convert to queen size, suiting both couples and travelling companions. The sundeck houses a swimming pool, two outdoor whirlpool jacuzzis, and plenty of loungers and shaded seating.
Dining aboard focuses on French and Mediterranean cuisines. The single restaurant serves set menus at lunch and dinner, drawing on the traditions and ingredients of the regions the ship visits. For those after quiet time, her confined guest count means peaceful spots with sea views are easy to find, something harder to come by on bigger vessels where crowds gather during sea days.
Entertainment stays low-key rather than elaborate, with lectures and activities geared toward passengers genuinely interested in the geography and culture of coastal Europe and the Greek islands. A small fitness area and spa suit those after a more restful pace.
Originally named Silver Discoverer, the vessel was purpose-built for Mediterranean coastal voyages, a design heritage that still shapes how she moves through narrow harbours and quieter ports where larger ships cannot easily call.
MS La Belle de l'Adriatique suits travellers seeking an intimate, French-led cruise experience on quiet waters rather than large-scale entertainment or dining choices, particularly those with a genuine interest in the Adriatic coast and Greek islands.
