MS La Belle des Oceans is a small cruise ship operated by CroisiEurope. Built in 1989 as Oceanic Grace, she sailed as Silver Discoverer until 2019, when CroisiEurope acquired her and renamed her La Belle des Oceans, joining the fleet that December. She accommodates up to 130 passengers, making her a genuinely intimate ship in an era when many cruise vessels dwarf her many times over.

The feel aboard is built around comfort and refinement rather than grandeur. All cabins are outside, with a small selection of balcony rooms and one suite, and nearly all of her 62 total cabins have large windows, while nine suites feature step-out balconies.

She offers one restaurant, one grill, two bars including a poolside bar, and a wellness complex with gym, beauty salon, and spa. Built for destination-intensive cruising, she doesn't carry the amenities of larger ships, keeping the focus squarely on where you go rather than what you do aboard.

Originally built for Zegrahm Expeditions, she entered Silversea service in March 2014, operating all-inclusive expedition voyages. Under Silversea, she carried a glass-bottomed tour boat, Zodiacs for landings, and offered snorkeling and dive programs with complimentary equipment, and that expedition DNA remains a defining feature today. She carries the kind of passengers drawn to close up encounters with remote regions, not to pool decks and Broadway-style theatre.

Onboard, a jogging track and modest public spaces feel more like a country house than a resort, encouraging conversation between guests rather than distraction from it. Her history is really the ship itself. She has sailed under five different names and operated everywhere from the Galapagos to Alaska to Southeast Asia, carrying passengers who tend to be seasoned, curious, and comfortable aboard a smaller, more purposeful vessel.

MS La Belle des Oceans suits experienced travellers and adventurous cruisers who prioritise discovery and intimacy over extensive onboard distractions.
