Luminara is the third and final superyacht in The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. She entered service in 2025 and carries around 450 guests across 226 suites, making her a small ship by cruise standards. Built by French shipbuilder Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, she is the first in the fleet powered by LNG, a cleaner marine fuel.
Luminara was designed to bring the Ritz-Carlton's hotel standards to sea. Public spaces drew on the work of Toronto-based design firm Chapi Chapo Design Inc, while the suites were designed by AD Associates using materials including premium walnut and Italian marble, with top-tier suites furnished by renowned design houses such as Minotti and Poltrona Frau. The ship's art collection comprises 731 pieces, including works by Paul Klee, David Hockney and Andy Warhol, with roughly 65 percent commissioned specially for Luminara.
Accommodation is all suites, ranging from 94 Terrace Suites with standard balconies to 8 Owner's Suites, plus Signature Suites, Grand Suites and other categories in between. The largest Owner's Suites offer 1,035 square feet of indoor space plus a 720 square foot private terrace, and every suite comes with a private balcony.
Dining venues include six restaurants, a steakhouse, a seafood grill and a Southeast Asian fusion restaurant. One venue features signature dishes from celebrity chef Sven Elverfeld, who oversees the Michelin-starred Aqua restaurant. Intimate dining and drinking venues keep seating capacities small and operate around the clock, with no assigned seats or fixed dining times.
A distinguishing feature across the fleet is a floating Marina, a watersports platform deployed at select destinations that gives guests direct access to the sea for swimming and water sports. The ship also features a Ritz-Carlton Spa, an enhanced wellness complex, several pools, and a dedicated children's area. The superyacht offers roughly one staff member for every guest, a notably high ratio for personalized service.
Luminara suits affluent couples and small groups seeking ultra-luxury travel with the service standards of a five-star hotel, intimate scale, and access to destinations beyond the reach of larger ships.
