Ocean Albatros is a small expedition cruise ship that entered service in 2023, carrying up to 200 guests. She was purpose-built for polar voyages and operates for Albatros Expeditions, a Copenhagen-based company specialising in Arctic and Antarctic expeditions with decades of collective experience navigating remote polar waters.

She's one of six Infinity Class vessels designed by Ulstein, featuring the company's distinctive patented X-bow design. This inverted bow profile improves stability in heavy seas and allows the ship to maintain steadier, faster transits while burning less fuel. Her hull is built to the highest ice class rating for passenger ships, enabling her to break through ice up to one metre thick while meeting the latest Polar Code requirements for polar navigation.

Onboard, all cabins are outside facing, with most offering private step out balconies. The ship features two restaurants, a wellness centre with gym and spa, a library, a lecture lounge for expedition briefings, and observation areas built to take full advantage of the scenery. There's also a bar, open deck dining, a small swimming pool with two hot tubs, and a mudroom where guests change for Zodiac excursions. She carries twenty Zodiac inflatable boats for shore landings and wildlife viewing, plus medical facilities for minor emergencies and a small onboard clinic staffed throughout each voyage.

Because she's small and ice-capable, Ocean Albatros reaches destinations larger ships simply cannot access. Built at a shipyard in China, she measures 104 metres long, and her size, paired with strong safety systems and dynamic positioning technology that lets her hold position without anchoring, makes her well suited to explorers after close encounters with polar landscapes and wildlife on genuinely intimate voyages.
