MS Europa is a cruise ship owned and operated by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. Delivered on September 9, 1999, and christened in Hamburg, she carries 204 cabins for 408 passengers, making her a small ship built for intimacy rather than scale. She runs on an all-inclusive concept, designed throughout with discerning travellers in mind.

For twelve years running, MS Europa was named the best cruise ship in the world by Berlitz's Ward Ranking, and much of that distinction comes down to her exceptional quietness and comfort. She was among the first ships fitted with ABB Azipod propulsion, a system that reduces vibration toward the stern by mounting propellers and electric motors in pods beneath the hull, pulling the vessel through the water rather than pushing it, and improving propulsion efficiency in the process. The result is a ship where vibration is virtually unfelt.

Life aboard centres on relaxation and refinement. Social venues include the Pool Bar, Piano Bar, Havana Bar, Sansibar, Clipper Lounge, Auditorium, Atrium, and a library with internet access. The swimming pool, partly covered by a glass dome, rarely feels crowded, and guests can also enjoy a fitness centre, golf simulator, tennis court, shuffleboard, driving range, and a designated sun deck area for nude sunbathing. The compact but fully equipped Ocean Spa rounds things out with a complete menu of wellness treatments, beauty services, hairstyling, a solarium, and sauna.

MS Europa also offers a variety of themed cruises, spanning culture, science, family travel, and food and wine. While Hapag-Lloyd ships primarily cater to German-speaking guests, they've built a genuine following among international travellers too.

With her quiet elegance and all-inclusive approach, MS Europa suits those after a refined, intimate cruising experience, well away from the spectacle of larger ships.
