Safari Endeavour is a small ship operated by UnCruise Adventures. Built in 1983, she carries 86 passengers and is the largest vessel in the UnCruise fleet. Originally constructed as Newport Clipper for Clipper Cruise Line, she was later acquired by the Kuoni Travel Group, then sold to Cruise West, where she sailed for over a decade as Spirit of Endeavour. UnCruise purchased her in August 2011 and renamed her Safari Endeavour.
UnCruise's ships carry navy blue hulls and a refined onboard atmosphere, and Endeavour's compact size lets her access destinations larger ships cannot reach. In 2012, UnCruise reduced the ship's passenger capacity from 102 to 86 to allow more spacious accommodations, enhancing onboard comfort and creating a more relaxed, open atmosphere in the lounge, on the decks and in the dining room.
Safari Endeavour features 42 staterooms, all oceanview, including four balcony suites appointed with high-end furnishings. All meals in the dining room come with table service, with no buffets on board. Breakfast leans toward specialties such as eggs Benedict or lemon ricotta pancakes, though guests can request traditional options like bacon and eggs, with lighter fare available for early risers.
Safari Endeavour's adventure equipment includes stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, inflatable skiffs, hiking poles and a hydrophone for listening to underwater sounds. A bow-mounted underwater camera connects to the lounge and to every cabin TV. Her high-tech kayak dock, installed at the stern, features a dedicated launching platform that lets passengers embark and disembark with ease.
She is an excellent choice for travelers seeking expedition-style cruising and adventure activities, combined with onboard comfort and a touch of luxury.
