Emerald Sakara is a superyacht operated by Emerald Cruises, built in 2023 with capacity for 100 guests. She's the second of two newbuilds in the fleet, following sister ship Azzurra, and was built in Vietnam by Halong Shipbuilding Company. Her name is a Sanskrit word meaning "thoughts become things".
At just over 360 feet long, Sakara is intimate in scale, and that shapes the whole onboard experience. She carries 76 crew and operates all inclusive, meaning guests enjoy all meals, selected drinks, shore excursions, and watersports as part of their fare. Fares also cover return economy flights from London, transfers, port fees, airport taxes, gratuities, enrichment programmes, and professionally guided cultural and cycling tours ashore.
The yacht carries a sleek design throughout, with spacious restaurants, a large wellness complex including gym, infrared sauna, spa, and massage rooms, two tender boats, two Zodiac boats, and an aft Marina Platform for swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and kayaking. A large infinity pool with a glass stern anchors a dedicated pool deck, complete with sunbathing areas and an open air bar, and electronic bicycles are also available for guests to use.
Accommodation feels generous for a ship of this size. Of the 50 staterooms, around 90 percent feature private step out balconies, with the two largest being Owner's Suites at 1,195 square feet including terraces. Standard balcony cabins measure around 310 square feet and open through floor to ceiling sliding glass doors onto a small terrace furnished with two deckchairs and a table.
Sakara is custom-designed for warm-weather cruising, covering Southern Europe's Mediterranean, including the Adriatic and Aegean Seas, along with the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean around the Seychelles. Her smaller size and shallow draft open up ports that stay out of reach for larger ships.
Sakara suits well-travelled guests who value intimacy and cultural immersion, paired with all-inclusive simplicity and access to ports beyond the reach of conventional cruise ships.
