Adora Magic City

Adora Magic City is a cruise ship operated by the Asian cruise line Adora Cruises. A Vista-class vessel, she's the first cruise ship built in China, and she embarked on her first commercial voyage on 1 January 2024. She carries around 5,246 passengers across 2,125 cabins, making her a large ship built specifically with Chinese and Asian cruise passengers in mind.

Adora Magic City takes her name from Shanghai's local nickname, Magic City. She was built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co Ltd, under a joint venture between China State Shipbuilding Corporation and Carnival. With 16 decks and an expansive 40,000 square metres of public living and recreational space, her interior design fuses Eastern and Western aesthetics, featuring wall paintings and art decorations throughout the main hall, theatre, and key public areas that draw inspiration from the ancient Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road.

Dining runs across more than 20 restaurants and bars, including a complimentary main dining room spread over two levels for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Other notable features include a large shopping centre with luxury brand boutiques, a wellness complex, and outdoor activities such as a suspended ropes course, multi-sports court, and mini golf. The ship also houses a theatre with around 1,000 seats and a sprawling 2,000 square metre shopping mall.

A waterslide with a 5-metre-high circular bowl features prominently in the onboard amusement park, while indoor palm trees create a tropical setting throughout the ship. The AI-STEAM Exploration Camp offers a supervised educational facility for children, developed in partnership with Bloks, China's leading building block toy brand, and live entertainment spans sitcoms and immersive music shows.
