Originally constructed in nineteen ninety-three as Crown Dynasty and later operated as Braemar for Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, the vessel was acquired by Villa Vie Residences in twenty twenty-three and redesigned to carry up to nine hundred twenty-four residents.

Functioning as floating residential accommodation rather than a standard vacation vessel, the ship is engineered for long-term living while circumnavigating the globe. A specialized hull design with a flatter bottom enables the vessel to navigate shallow rivers and narrow inland waterways, including a record transit of the Corinth Canal in October two thousand nineteen.

Itinerary planning prioritizes extended port stays ranging from two to seven days to offer residents deep regional connection in destinations inaccessible to larger passenger ships.
