Vasco da Gama is a cruise ship operated by German cruise line Nicko Cruises Schiffsreisen. Completed in 1993, she's sailed under several names and flags over the years, previously serving Holland America Line as Statendam, P&O Cruises Australia as Pacific Eden, and Cruise and Maritime Voyages as Vasco da Gama. In 2020, following CMV's filing for administration, she was sold to Mystic Cruises, and since July 2021 has sailed under Mystic Invest's German brand, Nicko Cruises. She carries 630 staterooms for 1,260 passengers, with a maximum capacity of 1,512 and a crew of 560, placing her firmly among the mid sized ships well suited to leisurely European and world voyages.

As Statendam from 1993 to 2015, she served as the lead ship of Holland America Line's Statendam class, embarking on her maiden voyage on 25 January 1993. She later underwent significant refurbishment, most notably between 22 October and 2 November 2015, when extensive interior and exterior changes saw her emerge as the new Pacific Eden.

When she moved to CMV, members of the Columbus Club were invited to choose her new name from four famous explorers, Vasco da Gama, Pytheas, Henry Hudson, and Amerigo Vespucci, and Vasco da Gama won out. After a refit in Singapore, she sailed on 23 April 2019 from Tilbury on her inaugural cruise, calling at Malaysia, Thailand, India, Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco in celebration of her namesake's travels, before being christened in Bremerhaven on 9 June 2019 by German singer Annett Louisan.

The ship spans 13 decks, 11 of which are passenger accessible and five with cabins, and offers 15 food and drink venues, two swimming pools (one covered with a sliding glass roof), two outdoor jacuzzis, and eight elevators. Onboard highlights include three dining rooms with distinct cuisine choices, an indoor cinema, a cookery school, a winery pouring premium Australian wines, a sports activities program, and a spacious main pool area. Around 24 percent of cabins offer a private balcony.

Vasco da Gama suits leisure cruisers after a medium-sized ocean liner with enough variety in dining, entertainment, and activities to comfortably fill weeks at sea, whether on regional voyages around Northern Europe or longer journeys spanning continents.
