MV Evolution is a Galapagos-based expedition yacht built in Japan. At 655 gross tons, she carries 32 passengers across 4 suites, 8 premium staterooms, and 6 deluxe staterooms, all with private en-suite bathrooms, placing her among the small ships built for intimate exploration rather than large-scale cruising.
With one cruise director, one doctor, two naturalist guides, and 18 crew members, she carries a maximum of 54 people onboard, a depth of expertise and attention that defines expedition travel in the Galapagos. While many Galapagos cruises avoid long navigations to reduce operating costs, Evolution sails to even the most remote islands, among them Genovesa, or Tower Island, in the far north of the archipelago. Known as the Island of Birds, it offers exceptional opportunities to observe diverse bird species inhabiting the partially submerged volcano, a sight few other itineraries take passengers close enough to see.
Onboard, the layout is built for comfort and discovery. Passengers enjoy a main lounge with bar and facilities for films, slideshows, and lectures, while the Sky Lounge on the Albatross Deck adds a further bar and generous space for relaxation with panoramic views. Evolution spans four decks, Albatross, Beagle (Main), Cormorant, and Dolphin, and guests will find a Jacuzzi, sun loungers, and plenty of outdoor deck space at the bow. Both alfresco and indoor dining venues are available, serving buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
For families, Evolution's Kids Club organises activities such as movie nights and stargazing, with child-focused naturalist guides maintaining kids' expedition journals and offering tailored learning programs.
MV Evolution suits families, couples, and explorers with hands-on access to some of the Galapagos' most remote and wildlife-rich corners.
