Penzance is a port town in Cornwall, England, located 64 miles west-southwest of Plymouth and 255 miles west-southwest of London. Sitting comfortably in the shelter of Mount's Bay and facing the English Channel, the town functions primarily as a quiet, picturesque stop along the Cornish coast. As a cruise port, Penzance is rarely visited and mainly hosts smaller-sized luxury ships, expedition vessels, and superyachts capable of navigating its coastal waters.
The town holds deep roots in British maritime history, having received royal recognition when King James I granted it borough status in 1614.
